Hey all…

I owe you an update because I missed a promised deadline last week and didn’t post the first January feature on Friday, January 12 as promised. It was just another rough week and things got away from me. There weren’t any major disasters. I’m just struggling with my recovery is all. It’s not as easy as I want it to be. Physically and mentally, I’m still shot and my wellness and therapy routines are slow to bear fruit.

That’s all totally normal.

That said, the only way I’m going to get back on track is to keep aiming for success and to keep holding myself accountable to you, my community. In that spirit, for the next several weeks — or however long I need — I’m going to post short, weekly updates every Monday. I’ll let you know what’s going, what I’m working on, how it’s going, and, when I do fall short on my goals, how I plan to get back on track and make up for it.

To be honest, this ain’t really for all of you so much as it’s for me. You’re welcome to read them and post comments, but you can also safely ignore them. I’ll keep them up as long as I feel like they’re useful. And when I’m back on an even keel, I’ll stop.

Missed Deadline

As I mentioned above, I missed last week’s Feature deadline. I’ll have to work an extra article in in the next two-and-a-half weeks with a live Proofreadaloud. I’ll get it in. Likely, it will be published on Tuesday of next week. I’ll put in extra hours this upcoming weekend to make it happen.

Upcoming Feature

This week’s Feature will be posted on Friday, January 19 in the morning, CST. I will be recording the Live Proofreadaloud on Thursday, January 18 at 3:00 PM EST on the Discord server. I’m juggling a couple of different possible topics, but the Feature will be a one-off discussion. It’ll likely be an in-depth analysis of emerging trends in TTRPG playstyle and how that affects my future design plans.

The January Mostly Monthly Live Chat is scheduled for tonight, January 15, at 8:00 PM EST. It will be recorded and the recording will be published within a few days.
