It’s a month! And that means it’s time for a monthly update!
And I’ve got a lot to cover. So let me get to it.

New Weekly Alternating Column
Starting sometime this month, you’re going to get an extra day of Angry content. Short Angry content. I’m reviving two weekly things I used to do and letting them trade off. Every Tuesday I’m going to post either an Ask Angry column or a Stuff I Don’t Hate Column.
Ask Angry
Ask Angry is my occasional advice column. That’s where I answer questions e-mailed by readers like you. I used to answer one question every week in a short, thousand word thingy. But then I stopped doing that. Instead, every so often, I’d pile up three to five questions and answer all of them in a five thousand word thingy and post it in place of a feature. Now, I’m going back to posting it as its own thing. Every other Tuesday.
Stuff I Don’t Hate
Back in my social media days, I used to do these posts I called Stuff I Don’t Hate. Basically, I’d call attention to games, books, movies, sites, content creators, and even Kickstarter projects that I personally liked. Or at least that personally intrigued me enough that I was willing to spend money on them. We’re not talking full-on product reviews or advertising or anything like that. Just s$%& that had caught my attention that I thought might be worth yours.
The Patreon RSS Audio Feed
As of last week, those of you following me on Patreon who are eligble to receive bonus audio content — like Proofreadalouds, Live Chat Recordings, Flash Chat Recordings, and so on — should have gotten a message from Patreon with your own, personal RSS link so you can listen to the audio using your favorite podcast app. Or whatever. If you didn’t receive it and you want it, check out Patreon’s RSS and Podcast Benefits page. That’ll also help you use it to access my content and tell you which apps just won’t work.
Be aware, the RSS feed is handled entirely by Patreon. I just feed my content into it. I’ve got no control over it other than to turn it on, turn it off, and give the feed a name.
The Angry GM on SubscribeStar
A number of you who want to support me have asked for alternatives to Patreon. Well, as of today, I am proud to announce you can also help keep the lights on at Angry Games HQ through the crowdfunding platform SubscribeStar.
Support the Angry GM on SubscribeStar
If you’re not familiar with crowdfunding, basically understand that both Patreon and SubscribeStar let you support content creators like me with monthly pledges. In return for which, you usually earn rewards and bonus content. Without such support, TheAngryGM.com would not exist today.
Now, SubscribeStar and Patreon work a little differently in terms of how content creators structure their bonus content, reward levels, and pledge levels. However, I’ve made sure that whether you support my site on SubscribeStar or Patreon, you get exactly the same deal. Same reward levels, same pledge teirs, everything. They’re calculated a little differently because SubscribeStar doesn’t allow me to collect pledges on a “per article” basis the way Patreon does, but if that ever actually matters — because I fail to deliver promised content — I will handle it manually through refunds and such.
Beyond that, AngryStars and Angreons get the same deal. Though I’m still working on porting the audio content and some links over to SubscribeStar.
Theme Pack Bonus Content
Theme packs are ten to twenty page piles of custom D&D game content built to a specific theme. I wrote the first three last year as a proof-of-concept and people were pleased to get them. But their production fell off the first half of this year. It is now back on schedule. In fact, it’s going into overdrive.
Bonus Theme Packs for Crowdfunding Supporters
Due to the repeated, ongoing lateness of Theme Pack Bonus Content for supporters, I’m switching back to a monthly Theme Pack schedule. Starting in July and each month thereafter, all high-tier supporters will receive a free gaming content Theme Pack with the long-awaited Home and Hearth coming first in early July.
Theme Packs #1 to #3 Listed at the Angry Store
The first three Theme Packs — Spring Rain, Imperial Legion, and Creepy Crawlies — are now available for sale at the Angry Games store. In fact, if you visit the store right now, you can get Imperial Legion for free. Starting in October, a new Theme Pack will be available for sale at the store every month.
