You had to know – once we brought up Bahamut – that Tiamat would be coming. And here she is. Along with Ancient Babylonian creation epics, Ghostbusters, and the D&D cartoon show.

The GM Word of the Week is produced and performed by Fiddleback of The Mad Adventurers Society and written by The Angry GM of this site right here that you are reading.

    • The Mad Adventurer’s Society makes transcripts available as a Patreon reward for their subscribers. Unfortunately, because it is actually THEIR podcast and I just write the scripts, I can’t give them away.

  1. “not to be confused with baphomet or behemoth”

Which is what the wikipedia article on Bahamut also says, but then it goes on to reference Borges and others playing with a Bahamut / Behemoth connection.

It reminds of Demon’s Souls when you find the Beast Talisman and read that “The symbol of God was nothing more than the Image of the Old One.”
